Amazon Account Access

If you've purchased books through Amazon.com, you can use BookTour to subscribe to updates on when any of those books' authors are coming to your area. Click the Amazon link at the bottom of your profile page.

Calendar Updates

If you use a standards-based calendar program like iCal, Mozilla Calendar, or Zimbra, you can have any author's tour dates show up automatically on your calendar. Just click the "Follow this author in my calendar" link on any author's page.

Email Updates

There are two kinds of automatic email updates:

• Weekly email updates. Sign up to receive weekly email updates with events coming up in your area.
• Individual author updates. On any author's page, click the "Follow this author by email" link to subscribe to updates on when the author is coming to your area.

You can manage your email preferences on your profile page.

Genre Browsing

On our homepage, the Library box shows a list of BookTour subsections. If the genre you're looking for isn't listed there, just click the More button to browse a live-updating list of all genres represented on the site.

Google Earth View

Now you can zoom around the world and through time to find authors on BookTour. Check it out here.

Newest Authors

Click here to see the newest authors to join BookTour.

Random Author

To jump to a random author's page, just click the Random Author link at the bottom of any page.

Requesting Authors

On most author's pages, you'll find a "Request this author" button. Just click that to send the author a request to speak.

RSS Feeds

There are numerous RSS feeds available on BookTour:

• New authors. Click here to get a feed of new authors to join BookTour.
• Canadian authors. Click here to get a feed of new Canadian authors to join BookTour.
• British authors. Click here to get a feed of new British authors to join BookTour.
• Authors in particular genres. Visit the particular section of BookTour you're interested in (say, http://booktour.com/politics) and click the RSS icon in your web browser's address bar.
• A specific author. On any author's page, just click "Follow this author by RSS."
• A specific venue. On any venue's page, click "Follow this venue's events by RSS."

Widgets

You can easily add a BookTour "widget" to your website to automatically show events you're interested in. You have three choices:

• Venues. On any venue's page, click "Follow this venue's events on my website."
