Mary Sharratt's new novel, DAUGHERS OF THE WITCHING HILL (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, April 2010) is a powerful fictional account of a family caught in the Pendle Witch-Hunt of 1612. An American expat who has lived in the Pendle region of Lancashire since 2002, the inspiration for her novel arose out of the wild and brooding landscape.
She is also the author of the critically acclaimed novels SUMMIT AVENUE, THE REAL MINERVA, and THE VANISHING POINT.
