I am a journalist and
critic living in Long Island City, NY. I am the author of "An Offer We Can't Refuse: The Mafia in the Mind of America" (Faber & Faber/ Farrar,Straus,Giroux). The book explores the origins and development of "The Mafia Myth," one of the longest-running shows in American popular culture. The book has been well-reviewed; Kirkus called it "a whip-smart meditation on the power of ethnic myth."
