David J. Corwell's short fiction
has appeared in the Dead in Th13teen Flashes and Cloaked in Shadow: Dark Tales of Elves anthologies. The latter book, which contains his story "Legacy of the Quedana," a Southwestern-style fantasy tale, was a 2007 New Mexico Book Awards finalist in two categories - Best Anthology and Best Science Fiction/Fantasy Book. Other stories have won six national writing awards through SouthWest Writers, including a Storyteller Award, the competition's highest honor.
He is a 2001 graduate of the Odyssey Fantasy Writing Workshop, a 2005 graduate of the Borderlands Press Writer's Boot Camp, and a June 2006 graduate of Seton Hill University with a M. A. in Writing Popular Fiction.
David is currently working on a collection of Southwestern supernatural tales, collaborating with two writing colleagues on a dark fantasy graphic novel, and getting around to revising his first fantasy novel.
